From January 20th to February 6th, 2015, Richland College's Brazos Gallery in Dallas will be populated with 40 works featuring the heroines, monsters and supernatural beings from the mind of Houston artist, and current Lawndale Studio Resident JooYoung Choi.
This solo exhibition titled C.S. Watson and the Cosmic Womb, focuses on Choi's highly structured imaginary world, and the narrative of C.S. Watson, the royal artist and official historian of this magical land.

ADVENTURE - After learning of the appalling and racist treatment of C.S. Watson's peer Jazzy K., Blue decides that Watson would be much more safe, and happier in the Cosmic Womb. While taking a shower, Blue reaches out to Watson. Once their hands touched nothing could ever be the same again.

THRILLER - Soon after Queen Kiok sails off to save C.S. Watson, Prince Putt-Putt and a "tangle" of unruly Munoes emerge from the Shingihada Lake. They attack Prince Amos the King of the Mouse People and his village of rodents.

COOKING - The Cosmic Womb is safe again. C.S. Watson has been rescued, and the battle against the Munoes is over. Queen Kiok and the governing body of Tuplets reunite for the sacrificial feast of war prisoner Putt-Putt. Quan Yin, the goddess of compassion, notifies Queen Kiok that Putt-Putt's spirit shall be purified through the digestive systems of the Tuplets, and re-manifest as a pure being of innocence.

Educational - Due to severe trauma (almost drowning, teleportation, head injuries) Watson develops amnesia. This concerns Kiok, since she believes that to love oneself, one must know oneself. Kiok appoints Watson to become the Royal Painter and Historian of the Cosmic Womb. "Possibly, through building a new skill, and finding purpose in your life, you will find yourself in the process," says Kiok. Watson's instructor will be the beloved and kind spirit of Television (and all other types of visual media) named Pleasure Vision. Blue protectively looks in on them during their first lesson.

Nature - While exploring the Cosmic Womb, Watson meets a strange creature called a Flish (a Floor Fish). His first name is Dekbar. (Note: Most likely, the Flish is just a slug but his ego's too big to identify as a common land slug).
